Here are news items that affect the core assignments and
class material.

- The project source code deadline has been extended by one day,
to tomorrow.

- Assignment 6 is available,
and has been revised from its prerelease version. Its due date
has been extended to March 6.
- Assignment 5’s due date
has been extended to February 28.

- Assignment 4, which was mistakenly made due on February 17,
a holiday, has been delayed until the next day, February 18.

- The due dates for Assignments 4 and 5 have been extended
to February 17 and 26 respectively.

and its due date extended to February 5.

to deal properly with Python 2 vs Python 3.

- Assignment 1 has been corrected
to say that the current Emacs version is 29.4, not 29.3.

- The directory matching the globbing
pattern /usr/local/cs/src/python/Python-*,
which had been inadvertently removed during last quarter’s renovation,
has been re-created.
It now uses Python 3.13.1, the latest stable version.
Also, convenience links have been created
in /usr/local/cs/bin for the
commands idle, pip, pydoc
and python.

you can, as there are occasionally delays before
your account is activated.
